POSTCARDS for PEACE
YOU CAN HELP THE BILL BE INTRODUCED IN THE SENATE!

Together we have the opportunity to help the Bill be introduced into the Senate.
All it takes is a postcard from YOU and your friends!
Our GOAL is to get 1000 postcards to Senator Barbara Boxer
in the next two weeks.

Every person makes a huge difference in this grassroots, trans-partisan effort!

From the efforts of Danielle in her high school...
Yesterday, I brought 120 pre-postmarked cards to school to try to see if any teachers would allow me to present about the Dept. of Peace in my classes. Not only did every single teacher allow me to take class time to explain the bill, teach students how to write to a senator, and ask for their future support, but all of the teachers asked me to speak to their other classes too. By the end of the day, I was already entirely out of the 120 cards,...so I went to get more. These teens all have something powerful to say and are desperately asking Senator Boxer for her support.

One Person makes a difference in Michigan...
Congressman Kildee recently became a sponsor of the Dept. of Peace Bill, in the House, HR # 808. It is very important to note...that Jim Gould, 5th District Leader in Michigan, had no one to help him in his district and was pretty much been contacting and lobbying Congressman Kildee's office on his own!
So if you think one person cannot make a difference...let Jim's success show you that all it takes is one committed person taking action. The possibilities are just waiting for us all!

by our citizen activists to lobby in Washington, D.C., for the support of the
Department of Peace legislation, in the House, HR #808.
The momentum is growing!

Americans for the Department of Peace (AFDOP) is a citizens’ group advocating passage of the Bill to establish a cabinet level U.S. Department of Peace.
